Abstract:
In order to follow the variations of blood pressure after physical effort, sistolic and diastolic values of this physiological constant were determined for a number of 66 students from the Physical Education and Sport Faculty, kinesitherepy section, before a voleyball game and at 15, 30 and 60 minutes after the end of the game. It was noticed that after an initial groth of the diastolic blood pressure, this returned to normal faster for the trained students comparativ to the untrained ones, fact that arguments that practicing a sport improoves cardivascular ajustment.
It is known that a high value of diastolic blood pressure (DBP), even if iti doesn’t exeeds the upper physiological limit (90 mmHg), constitutes an unfavourable prognostic factor for ulterior appearance of hypertension. The growth of diastolic blood pressure is caused by the increase of the peripherical resistance, that can be due to vasoconstriction or rigidization of samll blood vessels through atherosclerosis (2,3). It is debated as well upon the constitutional predisposition to a high diastolic blood pressure, due to functional caracteristic features of autonomic nervous sistem and especially due to the number an calibre of circulatory tree’s ramifications. This study intends to observe the variations of diastolic blood pressure after a sustained physical effort, comparing the untrained people to the ones which practice a sport.
